In July 2023, Siege Events partnered with the European Ultimate Federation to deliver the European Ultimate Championships (EUC) for the first time in Ireland. With national teams from across the continent descending on Limerick to compete for continental titles, the event demanded elite-level execution across operations, infrastructure, media, and team experience.

The Objective

  • Host Europe’s top national teams for 8 days of elite international competition

  • Provide an athlete-focused environment that supported peak performance & cultural exchange

  • Create a broadcast-ready venue for global livestream coverage

  • Deliver operational excellence on-site through scalable planning and team coordination

Implementation

Venue & Infrastructure
  • Delivered 17 competition fields with clear branding and spectator access

  • Installed pop-up infrastructure including medical, hydration, information, and shaded athlete zones

  • Managed utilities and amenities, including fencing, waste systems, communications, and shelter for extreme weather protocols

Scheduling & Gameplay
  • Worked with EUF Competition Team to build a full tournament schedule across 12 national divisions

  • Implemented real-time updates and coordination with EUF scorers, spirit scoring, and sideline support

Athlete & Nation Services
  • Coordinated logistics for 16 national federations, including accreditation, and accommodation planning

  • Delivered opening ceremony support, national flags display, and event hospitality spaces

Volunteer Coordination
  • Recruited and trained 60+ volunteers, many returning from WMUCC 2022, ensuring strong institutional knowledge

  • Managed scheduling, communications, and on-site support through centralised dispatch

Media & Spectator Experience
  • Supported multi-field livestreaming across the tournament with EUF media team and production partners

  • Designed site access and crowd flow to allow safe spectating and active social zones for fans

  • Ensured media team support with credentialing, access logistics, and sponsor visibility
